It gives really strong impression because I can barely hear the cry of the birds and silent, cold wind making noise in the grass before me (but I can't hear what do those two are talking about, their words are drowning in the noise and only some shards of their voices reach my ears). The technique is perfectly balanced. Picture does not look incomplete or overstuffed with details, this makes whole picture to be observed at once, which makes a great feel of presence. Lighting and perspective are just perfect,
You have managed to represent the feeling and atmosphere precisely, yet the scene itself is not something new or complex, which is why it is not pretending to be an extraordinary and original piece, but! In my opinion it is not actually a drawback in this case, because the impression you've carried demands the scene to be like this, something familiar and, maybe, well-known.
